WELCOME

We invite you to join us!
Georgetown Presbyterian Church lies just off the Georgetown Circle in the midst of a diverse and growing community in Sussex County, Delaware. We are located at 203 N. Bedford Street – you can enter our parking lot at the back of the church building from N. Front Street. Church office hours are Mon – Thurs 9:00-1:00, and on Sunday mornings greeters will help you find your way.

Believing that God has a purpose for this congregation in this place right now, our new logo represents both a Cross and Crown and The Circle at the center of town, at the intersection of Market and Bedford Streets. That’s where our building is – and that’s where our heart is too. We’ve been a part of this community since 1859 with a long history of worship, discipleship, and ministry with and among our neighbors.

Our sanctuary, education building, and fellowship hall house a full range of our own activities, and are also home to Spanish language worshiping congregations, a variety of local groups, and an emergency homeless shelter in operation since 2007. Our facilities are also available for rental for groups or special events. Our two-acre park is open to the public from dawn till dusk, and can be reserved or rented for special events.
Georgetown Presbyterian Church is affiliated with New Castle Presbytery, the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, and the Presbyterian Church (USA). We are a Matthew 25 congregation, and each year we participate in all our denomination’s special missions offerings, earning a ‘Four for Four’ designation.

Our congregation is led by Ruling Elders elected to three-year terms on our Session,  shepherded by our Board of Deacons, and pastored by the Rev. Lisa Salita

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers.
